A community health organization in Great Yarmouth is seeking volunteers to provide practical support at the Leg Ulcer Clinic. The role includes greeting patients, assisting those with mobility issues, and supporting staff. Ideal candidates should be aged 16 or over and possess good interpersonal skills. Volunteers will gain experience in a healthcare setting while enhancing patient experiences. Flexible hours are available on Friday afternoons from 2-4pm, with training provided.

Volunteers support the clinicians at the Leg Ulcer Clinic at Shrublands Health Centre, providing a range of practical and administrative help. This role offers volunteers the opportunity to gain experience in a healthcare setting, as well as to contribute to improving patients' experience. This role is suitable for people aged 16 and over.
Tasks may vary, but are likely to include:
The clinic runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Currently we are looking for a volunteer for Friday afternoons 2-4pm.
If following the welcome call you want to progress your application we'll then carry out our recruitment checks and you'll be asked to sign up to a half day induction training session (this takes place in Lowestoft).
You'll be asked to provide the names of two non-family members who can provide a character reference and we will carry out an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) with Barred List check. If you have previous convictions these will not necessarily prevent you from volunteering and we would still welcome your application. We assess any criminal record disclosures on a case by case basis and you will be supported through the application process by a volunteer coordinator.
