Qualifications

  • Experience in an Ofsted registered residential care home is preferred.
  • Willingness to work on a rolling rota pattern including weekends and bank holidays.
  • All roles subject to satisfactory DBS check and references.

Childrens Residential Support Worker - Day Staff

Skyline Child Care is recruiting an experienced NVQ/QCF Level 3 or 4 qualified Children’s Residential Support Worker for our Outstanding (August 2024) Ofsted‑rated care home, specialising in caring for Children and Young People aged 6‑19 with mild to complex learning disabilities. The role will be based at our Two Bedroom Care Home in Wolverhampton. Staff will receive training and career development to progress within the organisation.

Requirements and Duties
  • Level 3 or 4 NVQ Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent (Children and Young People Workforce)
  • Experience working with children with learning disabilities
  • Experience working in an Ofsted registered residential care home
  • Will work on a 3‑days‑on 3‑days‑off shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays on a rolling rota
  • Administrative work and record keeping associated with running an Ofsted registered care home
Key Work Responsibilities
  • Assist service users in their daily routines
  • Promote and encourage independent skills; engage in fun activities (swimming, cinema, outdoor sports, theme parks, holiday breaks, etc.)
  • Maintain effective communication and liaise with service users and other professionals, respecting confidentiality
  • Complete administrative tasks
