Job summary

A well-respected care organization based in Romsey is seeking an individual for a temporary role providing 1:1 support to young people facing emotional challenges. Ideal candidates should have experience working with children, a willingness to learn, and a caring nature. The role involves a rotating schedule of 2 nights on and 6 nights off, with a focus on building strong relationships with the young people supported. This position could potentially be extended beyond October 2026.

Qualifications

Who We Are

ARC HD Services Ltd, part of Community Integrated Care, provides specialist residential and 1:1 support for young people aged 9–18 facing complex social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including ASD, ADHD, PTSD, and trauma‑related behaviours.

We run four small, nurturing homes—each supporting up to three young people in a warm, homely environment tailored to individual needs. Every child has their own private space, plus shared areas for connection and community.

Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role

🏡 Welcome to Our Home – Romsey. A calm, cosy bungalow supporting up to 3 amazing young people (ages 9–18). We’re a quirky, caring crew who believe in laughter, love, and helping kids thrive. 💛

💼 The Role

  • 1:1 support with young people
  • 2 nights on and 6 nights off – pattern rotates over 8‑week period so some weekend work will be required (this equates to roughly 17.5 hours per week)
  • Manual driving licence required – access to your own vehicle would be helpful as the service is not served by public transport and is rural
  • Temporary role until October 2026 – this may be extended or made permanent by mutual agreement

  • Experienced with supporting children overnight
  • Qualified with a Diploma in Child Care, or willing to work towards this
