Job description

Equans is recruiting for a Catering Supervisor

Location: Cleveland & Durham Police Tactical Training Centre, Urlay Nook Stockton on Tees, TS16 0QB. This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week. Salary of £26,886.38 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm with 30 minute lunch break.

This role includes a DS Basic check; therefore ability to pass is essential.

What will you deliver?

You will oversee the running of the canteen facility including the preparation and cooking of food and beverages, ordering of all food and non-food items for service provision; to be particularly responsible for strict personal hygiene and the hygiene of staff ensuring compliance with work performance governing environmental health regulation, menu, and stock control. Ensure efficient and friendly service, and maintain effective communication with the Account Manager.

Who are we looking for?

• Must be knowledgeable in the theory of cooking, demonstrating good practical cooking techniques and the ability to apply this knowledge.
• Must have previous experience of working in a similar catering establishment and supervising a catering team.
• Must have an understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety Management Systems.
• Ideally hold or be working towards a Food Safety Level 3 Certificate.
• Ideally hold or be working towards a HACCP Level 3 Certificate.
• Ideally hold IOSH Supervising Safety but not mandatory.
• Ideally hold a current First Aid qualification but not mandatory.
