A regional NHS trust is seeking a full-time Catering Assistant for the Hive Cafe within Ridgeway Roseberry Park. The role involves providing catering services, preparing and serving meals, and maintaining hygiene standards. Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 2 in Catering and demonstrate prior experience in a catering service. The post holder is a member of a team responsible for providing catering services within a cafe/dining setting to staff, patients and visitors, which will include preparing and serving food and beverages, cleaning, cash handling and provision of hospitalities.
The cafe area within Ridgeway Roseberry Park is situated within the hospital grounds and is accessed by service users and staff.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
An opportunity has arisen for a full time catering Assistant within the Hive Cafe within Ridgeway Roseberry Park. This is to support the team in the on site provision of hospitalities.
Applicants should be highly motivated, reliable, flexible and have the ability to work alone and as part of a team. Experience of cafe work is essential and the ability to demonstrate good culinary skills and knowledge, cash handling and associated paperwork.
Knowledge is required in cleaning duties and use of chemicals and equipment are essential as you will be working in a demanding environment. Preparing, cooking and serving of meals in line with Hygiene Codes of Practice and legislation with particular attention to quantities (portion control), quality and the appearance of meals, assisting with maintaining the highest possible standard of hygiene and health and safety and Assisting with menu planning.
Candidates should have a good general education.
Candidates must a minimum of Level two Food Hygiene certificate and a knowledge of allergens, as well as being able to demonstrate commitment to undertake further training and qualifications.
