If you are looking for part-time work on a casual basis to fit around your other commitments, we are looking for casual housekeeping assistants to come and join our friendly team responsible for maintaining excellent cleanliness standards within the private household at Bolton Hall, Bolton Abbey.
Working alongside the Housekeeper to ensure that the house is constantly well-maintained to a high standard. We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and takes pride in their work. The residence has antiques and fine furniture so you must ideally have experience caring for them (however training can be given if not). The ideal person will be an all-rounder, able to maintain the general tidiness of the family home and happy to help out where needed.
Duties will include (but are not limited to) all required housekeeping to maintain cleanliness throughout the family home, making and changing beds, cleaning bathrooms, laundry, ironing, packing and unpacking fine clothing; dusting, polishing, vacuuming, mopping; restocking bathroom and cleaning items as well as pantry assistance, washing up table wear and kitchen pots. Setting and clearing table wear.
Hours include working mainly weekdays and some weekends when there are events or guests in residence and will be a variety of shift times including morning, afternoon or evening shifts if there is a dinner party, event or similar, but generally day time hours. Being a team player is key and paramount to the success of the role, with flexibility to work more days and hours during high season and less days and hours during low season.
This is a casual role working as and when required, however, please note that July to January are the months which require the most commitment and more working days and hours with January to June being the quieter months due to less events and guests in residence. August and September are the busiest months.
Due to the rural location, your own transport is essential.
