We’re Louise and Deborah, the Nursery Managers at Sheffield Nursery.
With over 50 years of combined experience in early years, we are deeply dedicated to creating a warm, caring, and inspiring environment for every child in our care.
Located in the heart of Sheffield, our nursery takes great pride in delivering outstanding early years education to our wonderfully diverse and culturally enriched community. Every day, we strive to create an inclusive space where all children feel welcomed, valued, and inspired to learn.
Children thrive through imaginative play in our thoughtfully designed learning spaces—such as our vibrant marketplace role‑play area, which encourages creativity and collaboration.
We embrace and celebrate the rich diversity of our community, marking a variety of cultural festivals throughout the year with our children and their families—fostering a strong sense of belonging and mutual respect.
You are a Level 2 or above qualified Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you’re looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.
You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.
You have a natural, nurturing, openness, warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
(We can sometimes consider unqualified Educators, so if you can demonstrate the necessary values and enthusiasm for working within this environment, submit an application. Nothing ventured nothing gained).
You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you’ll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.
You likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan… That will soon get completely derailed though… Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!
Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.
We get the basics right—enhanced holidays, paid sick pay, extra wellness day off (yearly) and accessing your pay before payday with PayCaptain.
Childcare Discount + Funding, compassionate leave & enhanced maternity (and more).
Partnerships with Vitality & Peppy; fertility & menopause support, gym discount, free movie tickets and more.
Micro-learning, financial stability tools & Storal Support Fund.
Termly inset days, team app & Storal Awards gathering.
We pay for your DBS upfront along with reimbursing your annual update service charge.
And much, much more.
This nursery is part of Storal, a group of nurseries across England. It is our vision at Storal to be the nursery group that every family and educator wants to be part of. Our values are built around creating this environment for teams and children. We believe in high standards, praising each other, pulling together as a team whilst actively helping others to grow and that’s only the beginning of the story. We do what we say we do and if you align with this approach, then a Storal nursery is the place for you.
Storal is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All employees will be subject to background checks, enhanced DBS check and reference checks.
