A community sports organization in Huddersfield is seeking Casual Community Sports Coaches to support educational and sporting initiatives. The role involves delivering engaging sessions to inspire children and promote wellbeing. Candidates should hold relevant NGB qualifications, possess excellent communication skills, and be passionate about sport. The position offers flexible hours and an hourly rate of £14 – £17 depending on qualifications.
Reports to: Various Programme Managers.
Salary: Hourly rate of £14.00 per hour for assistant coaches (minimum of NGB Level 1 qualification required) and £17.00 per hour for lead coaches (minimum of NGB Level 2 qualification required).
Working pattern: Discretionary sessional hours per week, including evenings and weekends.
Department/Location: Huddersfield Town Foundation, Leeds Road Sports Complex (Huddersfield, HD2 1YY).

We are seeking purpose‑driven Casual Community Sports Coaches to support the delivery of the Foundation's charitable programmes across Education & Sport. These roles will be crucial in supporting children in educational & community settings across Kirklees – ensuring our community can GROW through learning and opportunity, BELONG through connection and inclusion, and THRIVE through improved wellbeing.
As a Casual Coach you must be well‑organised with the ability to plan and deliver engaging and fun sessions that are relevant to the participants and the overarching aims of our projects. You must be passionate about using the power of sport to engage with and inspire people of different ages and from different backgrounds. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also essential to this role.
