Qualifications

• Previous experience of working in a catering department or kitchen is advantageous.
• An up-to-date CIEH Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent) is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare simple meals and ancillary items for service under the direction of the Chef.
• Wash dishes by hand or load the dishwasher and store clean items neatly to minimize breakages.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to keep them grease-free or spillage-free.
• Wash work tables, walls, kitchen equipment, and appliances according to cleaning schedules.
• Keep the kitchen tidy, secure, and clear of rubbish; store supplies correctly.
