A local educational institution is seeking a dedicated staff member for site maintenance and security. The candidate will ensure the security and maintenance of the school site, manage health & safety, and maintain high standards of cleanliness. Key requirements include good DIY skills, some IT knowledge, and holding a valid driver's licence for occasional site travel. The role involves working 37 hours per week across varied shifts, including early mornings and late evenings. Excellent benefits and training opportunities are offered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for security of the school site, maintenance, cleanliness of the site, heating, health & safety, general day-to-day running of the school and help in preparing for events and exams setting up. You will have good DIY skills, some knowledge of Health & Safety, basic IT skills and an understanding of safeguarding. We offer fantastic CPD opportunities as an academy and as a wider multi-academy trust so can provide support if there are any areas that you may need to be upskilled or trained.
The successful candidate is required to hold a valid driver’s licence as they would be required to travel to one of our other sites from time-to-time and may be required to drive the school minibus (proof of driving licence will be required during the recruitment process). Experience of a similar role is desirable, but training will be provided for someone with the right skills.
The successful applicant will be required to work 37 hours per week, shift times vary starting 5am & latest finish time 9.45pm. There will be occasional weekends due to lettings, shifts adjusted accordingly. You would need to be physically fit and be able to work at heights.
