Are you an experienced Support Worker ready to take the next step in your career? Lifeways is offering an exciting opportunity to become aTeam Leader at our welcomingElm Tree House residential service in Cutgate, Rochdale. You’ll work alongside our Registered Manager to lead a dedicated team, delivering life‑enhancing support to adults with autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental health needs.

Your Role as a Leader Who Inspires
  • Lead and motivate Support Workers to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.
  • Promote independence and wellbeing in every aspect of support.
  • Support individuals with daily living, appointments, hobbies, and community engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure personalised support plans are followed.
  • Conduct staff supervisions, interviews, and ongoing development.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, people we support, families, and external professionals.
About the Service – Elm Tree House, Cutgate

Elm Tree House is adetached property with six bedrooms, each with awet‑room style ensuite, plus a communal bathroom with a jacuzzi. The home is split across two floors, each with its own living room, dining room, and kitchen. There’s also a laundry room andfour self‑contained apartments with open‑plan lounges and kitchens.

The property features:

  • Large accessible garden with patio and swings.
  • Assistive technology including CCTV, call points, and intercom systems.

Location & Community:
Situated in the friendly community of Cutgate, Elm Tree House is close to shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. Rochdale town centre is just 10 minutes away, offering amenities like the Wheatsheaf Shopping Centre, cinema, bowling, and museums. Local parks and nature reserves provide great opportunities for walks and outdoor activities.

What You Bring
  • Experience as a Team Leader, Senior Support Worker, or Support Worker with a strong track record.
  • NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • Strong communication, written, and IT skills.
  • A commitment to empowering others and leading by example.
Contract & Shifts
  • Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week.
  • Shifts between 8:00am and 10:00pm, Monday to Sunday.
  • Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support.
  • Rotational shifts: Days, evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins.
