A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a caregiver to deliver specialized care to a child with complex medical needs. The role involves supporting the child in daily living activities and engaging in various social interactions. Candidates must have experience in a complex care setting and skills related to tracheostomy and PEG feed care. A vehicle is preferred due to the job's geographical location. What you’ll do
Be a part of a special care team delivering care to our client who is a delightful and sociable child to support him to reach his full potential.
The client has a multitude of complex medical needs that requires careful monitoring and support will all aspects of daily living, that can include domestic duties and various social activities. Such as engaging in sensory play with our client who enjoys messy and water play, exploring the outdoors and interacting with toys, painting or attending discos.
You will deliver care in line with the care plan which includes tracheostomy care, care of the ventilated child, PEG feeds for hydration purposes and specialist moving and handling techniques due to spinal instability.
You will be supported by Advantage Healthcare London branch and invited to attend regular supervisions and team meetings. A registered nurse will ensure you are competent in our client’s care needs and support with any clinical concerns and queries you may have.
