Business Unit: Chief Operating Office, Procurement

Salary range: £37,600 - £50,000 per annum depending on experience

Location: Hybrid, with ad-hoc occasional travel to one of our hubs - Glasgow or Newcastle

Contract type: 12 Month fixed term contract

What you’ll be doing
  • Providing category support across one of three broad areas: IT Infrastructure, Enterprise Applications, and Banking Operations & Services.
  • Delivery of savings target in line with Procurement targets and the savings target of the business areas.
  • Creating strong and effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Bank, as well as with key supplier relationships.
  • Leading tendering processes and procurement initiatives, ensuring that stakeholder requirements are met within required timeframes and result in the most commercially attractive terms and conditions for the Bank.
  • Looking outwards to the market to understand trends, supplier strengths/weaknesses, and future directions for the Bank’s requirements.
  • Supporting and promoting procurement policy and procurement compliance and adherence to supplier governance framework.

Desirable but not essential
  • CIPS qualification, or working towards a CIPS qualification.
  • Knowledge of Risk Process.
  • Sound understanding of Commercial and Legal Language.
