A regional police force in Littleton seeks a Business Systems Supervisor to ensure operational efficiency in their Command Centre. You will manage a team, guide system improvements, and handle technical responsibilities. The ideal candidate has A-Level education in a relevant field and experience in technical project delivery, particularly within policing or IT environments. The starting salary for this role will usually be at the bottom of the salary range and will be pro-rata if the working hours are less than full time.

In this role you will be part of a team that ensures the Force Command Centre is capable of operating 24-hours per day, seven days per week, to implement any changes to these systems in a controlled manner and to provide help and guidance to all colleagues within the department.
You will supervise and supportthe Business Systems Team,leading theday to dayactivities,following strategic plansset by the Business Systems Manager.
The roleprovides hands on technical input, supports colleagues, and contributes to system improvements. It includes coordinating tasks, sharing knowledge, and supporting the development of team members in a collaborative environment.
The successful post holder will be educated to A-Level indirectly relatedsubjectegIT, Computer Science, Systems Engineering
The ideal candidate will have specialist technical knowledgeacquiredthrough relevant and practical experience. This must be evidenced throughsuccessfully delivering a range of projects toa high standard with experience with current systems and processes including implementing new and planned initiatives, of developing and reviewing systems design and business processes to support and improve service delivery.
Ideally this will have been gained within a Contact environment –preferablywithin a Police or Law Enforcement organisation, or commercial IT environment.

The post holder is required to successfully pass Vetting, andmay be required to travel between Surrey Police and Sussex Police premises, with some travel outside of Force area to attend meetings.
Must be flexible to support a 24/7 operational environment, including responding to incidents and system outages.
Applicants may have to attend an Occupational Health consultation if required to be declared fit for the role, prior to confirmation of appointment.
