A leading Contract Research Organisation is seeking a Business Development Manager. This role is focused on identifying and managing client relationships across biotech, pharma, and medtech sectors. Ideal candidates will have 3–7+ years of business development experience and a strong network in biopharma. The position is remote with competitive salary plus bonuses. We are hiring a Business Development Manager (BDM) for a fast-growing Contract Research Organisation (CRO). This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven professional with experience in clinical research or pharma services to join a dynamic, high-performing team.
As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on identifying, developing, and managing new client relationships across biotech, pharma, and medtech sectors. The role covers services from preclinical through Phase I–IV clinical trials.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities across clinical trial services, bioanalytical, regulatory, and data management.
Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing.
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads using CRM and sales tools.
Represent the CRO at conferences and industry events to increase visibility.
Collaborate with internal operations, scientific, and project teams to deliver client satisfaction.
Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and competitor activity.
3–7+ years of experience in business development or sales within a CRO, biotech, or clinical research company.
Strong network in biopharma, biotech, or medical devices.
Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in consultative selling.
Knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle and related services (clinical operations, regulatory, data management, pharmacovigilance).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Motivated, proactive, and target-driven.
Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus).
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission/bonus.
