About the Role
Westcon-Comstor is looking to recruit a Cyber Security Business Development Manager to engage with our Comstor partners / resellers. The External Sales / Business Development Manager will understand vendor strategy & cyber security. You will be key in developing aligned strategies for the benefit of Comstor and Cisco. You will participate in the execution of sales and marketing plans UK wide. Ideally, you have already gained some external sales experience in the IT distribution channel with vendors like CheckPoint, Juniper, Zscaler, Darktrace or Fortinet. This is an external role based in the UK. You will travel to visit and support our Partners mostly in the Midlands / North, UK, and you will come to our Cirencester office a few times a month.

Responsibilities
- Acquire specialist knowledge of Cisco business and Cyber Security (structure, processes, promotions, pricing, competition, and market).
- Identify and establish new partner accounts (e.g., call dormant accounts, cold call new accounts, obtain leads from vendors).
- Help and assist partners through the Cisco Security specialization & certification process and enablement.
- Maintain and grow business with existing accounts.
- Support internal sales in managing account administration.
- Consult with Partners in selling and supporting Comstor Cyber Security products towards end-users.
- Provide product presentations and comprehensive sales training for assigned partner accounts.
- Manage demo stock requirements and evaluation stock.
- Prepare partner plans and execute directly.
- Identify cross selling opportunities within Comstor's Cyber Security products and services portfolio.
- Create value add opportunities for Comstor.
- Develop relationships with Vendor Account Management Teams.
- Provide customers with relevant and up to date product-related information and coordinate with training, marketing, business development, and product management to support our partners.
- Establish productive vendor relations to ensure a high quality of service to partners.
- Ensure forecasts are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare business development plans for account set and attend relevant internal and external product training.
- Meet all reporting deadlines with accuracy (e.g., call reporting, pipeline reporting) and attend required internal and external meetings.
- Maintain and develop knowledge of the Comstor and vendor Cyber Security product portfolio.
About You
- Significant work experience in IT Cyber Security sales supporting partners / resellers.
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to acquire, learn and convey technical products, services and concepts.
- Desire to develop skills and technical knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; outstanding interpersonal skills and a positive attitude.
- Articulate with excellent phone and email etiquette.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivated; detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Handles confidential financial and personal information appropriately and can tactfully handle stressful situations.
- Strong problem-solving skills; passionate about technology and training others to promote Cisco to partners / resellers.
- Willing to be flexible and approachable; able to work effectively under pressure.
Qualifications
- A self-motivated individual with at least 3 years of experience in external sales or business development within IT / Cyber Security.
- University degree (preferably business, marketing, or management) considered an advantage.
