Betting Office Trainee Assistant Manager

Chisholm Bookmakers is a family‑run business established in the 1950s, with 34 betting shops located throughout the North East of England and Cumbria.

We value training and development, and we are looking for a Betting Office Trainee Assistant Manager to work a minimum of 25 hours per week in our shops based in the Bedlington area.

Applicants should be well‑motivated, prepared to work flexibly, and willing to make a positive contribution as part of the management team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of the shop and marketing our products and services to the highest possible standards.
  • Supervise staff to ensure the smooth running of the office.
  • Learn new skills and commit to providing the best customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations: underage gambling / Think 25 and responsible gambling and self‑exclusion guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Age 18 or over.
  • Minimum of 25 hours per week commitment.
  • Prepared to work flexibly and contribute to the management team.
Training and Pay

Full training is provided through our training programme.

Starting rate of pay is £12.48 per hour, rising to £12.68 per hour after training.

Schedule

We open at 9:00 am daily, with evening and Sunday racing. To cover our opening hours we operate a flexible shift system.
