A charity organization in the UK is seeking a Social Worker to provide specialized support to children undergoing oncology treatment. The role includes managing complex cases, working within a multidisciplinary team, and advocating for families. Applicants must have a relevant Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Care Wales. Travel to Cardiff twice a month is required.
Provide specialist social work support to children receiving oncology treatment and their families, including complex assessments, psychosocial interventions, and ongoing case management.
Work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, advocating for families and coordinating access to statutory, voluntary, and financial support services.
Manage a varied and emotionally demanding caseload, offering pre- and post-bereavement support, safeguarding expertise, and high‑quality documentation.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external agencies to ensure holistic, child‑centred care and continuity across hospital and community settings.
Uphold the highest standards of professional practice, safeguarding, and equality, while contributing to service development and continuous improvement.
