Overview

Baby Room Assistant – Maternity Cover for an initial 6 months with the possibility of extending. Required from 28th July 2025. Full time (All year round).

Employer: Westmorland and Furness Council. Closing date for applications: Friday 4 July 2025.

Salary and benefits: PCD5 £25,183.00. 33 days holiday (Pro Rata) – including all Bank Holidays and 1 week at Christmas. Hours: 36 hours a week over 4 days. This is an all year round position.

Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Baby Room Assistant to join our vibrant nursery team. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the well-being and development of infants from birth to 2 years old. Responsibilities
  • Providing individualized care and attention to infants, including feeding, changing, and soothing.
  • Creating a stimulating and safe play environment that supports infant development.
  • Observing and documenting infants' progress and development.
  • Collaborating with parents and other staff members to ensure consistent care.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized baby room.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of individual care plans.
