Job description

PERM salary £32 - 38k base with attendance allowance £40k

We are looking for a skilled and experienced technician to join our busy team at our Eltham Dealership. Being a team player is vital in this role, but you will also need to be able to work on your own.

Overview

In this role you will work on a range of the client\'s well-known brand vehicles and ancillary equipment using your skills in diagnostics, servicing and repair.

Responsibilities
  • Fault diagnostic and rectification using the latest manufacturers computer systems and tooling
  • Ensure all work is completed to company standards, instructions and in a timely manner
  • Undertake the timely repair and servicing of customer vehicles in accordance with the brand\'s technical standards
  • Conduct full examinations of vehicles and identify non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests
  • Undertake Electronic Vehicle Health Checks
  • Work closely with the service team and ensure they are kept informed of the progress of work on customer vehicles; brief customers on work completed when requested
  • Provide a knowledgeable, courteous, responsive, and efficient service to all workshop customers
  • Obtain appropriate authorisation if additional work is required on a vehicle
  • Build and maintain a high level of technical competence for diagnosing and servicing vehicles; utilise regular training and support information provided by the Manufacturer
  • Offer technical advice and support to workshop apprentices when requested by a Master Technician
  • Be open to trying new methods of work designed to improve efficiency
  • Full Manufacturer training will be provided
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle maintenance and repairs or equivalent
  • A full valid driving licence
  • Approved MOT Tester status with the DVSA (Desirable)
