Job summary

A leading food ingredients company is seeking a Technical Maintenance Controls & Automation Engineer in Banbury, England. You will ensure effective maintenance of plant and equipment while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have PLC experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley) and a background in engineering. This full-time position requires strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship / Time served qualified engineering technician.
• Minimum of 3 years of troubleshooting and repair experience within an FMCG manufacturing or industrial processing environment.
• Professional manner with a “can do” attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant and equipment to ensure it performs efficiently.
• Identify, diagnose, and rectify faults/breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Assist the Engineering Manager with plant improvements.

Skills

Expert knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems

PLC experience (Siemens, Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley)

Excellent communication skills

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to work under pressure

Education

Degree HNC / HND / NVQ, BTEC/ C&G or equivalent in Engineering

Tools

PC based Windows 365 software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
