Overview

Associate Director - Fire Engineering at CHPK Group. UK wide with occasional travel into London.

CHPK Fire Engineering is a leading consultancy specialising in fire safety engineering across the built environment. We work across sectors including residential, commercial, heritage, healthcare, and high-rise developments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead fire engineering projects from concept through to completion
  • Develop and review fire strategies for complex and high-profile buildings
  • Act as primary point of contact for clients and design teams
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and consultants
  • Contribute to business development and tendering
  • Support the technical direction and commercial performance of the team
  • Ensure compliance with current UK fire safety regulations, including BS 9999, BS 9991, and ADB
Qualifications
  • Degree-qualified in Fire Engineering or a related field
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working toward it
  • At least 8 years of experience in fire engineering consultancy
  • In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and fire codes
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Experience working on large and complex developments
  • Passion for mentoring and developing teams
