Overview

Associate, Digital Channels Product Manager at MUFG. This role involves end-to-end product life cycle management, P&L, risk, compliance and conduct management of digital channels for Transaction Banking (proprietary e-banking; host to host and SWIFT). The position supports a VP in ownership of core solutions for UK, Europe & MENA across proprietary e-banking, host-to-host, SWIFT direct connectivity, and 3rd party platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and support product ownership and business steering of proprietary and 3rd party digital channels within Transaction Banking.
  • Own and manage proprietary e-banking, host-to-host, SWIFT direct connectivity, and 3rd party platforms (e.g., Mitigram, GTC, Bolero) as part of TB solutions for cash management, trade finance and markets.
  • Ensure compliance with industry reporting (e.g., camt), operational resilience, and currency COT interoperability; maintain Channel COTs aligned with MUFG standards.
  • Collaborate with front, middle, and back office to integrate ERP/TMS solutions and enable cloud-based, micro-services driven architecture; support ISO20022, PSD2, SEPA, API developments and related regulatory changes.
  • Develop and manage end-to-end product processes, including end-to-end process maps, continuous improvement, and KPI-driven service quality improvements.
  • Assist with product policy development, pricing governance, and regional pricing policy adherence; own TB EMEA channel fees and pricing.
  • Lead regional deployment of global cash product developments and ensure timely deliveries; maintain client-facing product documentation and country addenda.
  • Support product development/change, including governance, documentation, and stakeholder liaison across regions and functions.
  • Communicate regulatory, industry, and competitive landscapes to Global TB teams, Sales, Implementation and Service for action and improvement.
  • Effectively influence stakeholders, secure approvals for new product developments, investments, and client commercialization plans.
  • Management of risks and issues related to product, country changes, and industry changes; ensure timely escalation to TB RAF and maintain compliance with Group conduct and policy guidelines.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Associate-level experience in GTB product management; experience with host-to-host and SWIFT channels is preferred.
  • Proven track record in technical integration between banks and MNCs (e-banking, host-to-host, SWIFT), including requirements documentation and scaling from volumes to value.
  • Strong technical and commercial product management skills; ability to use data for business steering and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Good understanding of European Payments, ISO standards, and reporting; familiarity with ERP/TMS applications (e.g., SAP/S/4Hana, Kyriba, Salesforce) and integration practices.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making abilities; ability to handle large workloads and tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and detail-oriented with robust problem-solving capabilities.
Nice-to-have
  • Experience with 3rd party platforms for cash management and trade finance; knowledge of API developments and private/public collaboration.
  • Experience with regulatory changes (ISO20022, PSD2) and real-time financial crime solutions.
