Role Overview

We now have an opportunity for an Assistant Team Manager within the Positive Futures Team. The Positive Futures Team works with children over 16 years old who are looked after by the local authority, including separated migrant children. Children transfer into the team when they approach 16 and begin Pathway Planning. As an Assistant Team Manager, you will manage a pod of social workers, ensuring they provide the best possible outcomes for the young individuals you support.

Responsibilities
  • Use leadership skills to manage a pod of social workers, fostering strong relationships between them and the children.
  • Provide reflective supervision, focusing on the bond between social workers and the young people in their care.
  • Ensure children’s needs are met through effective management and provision of resources.
  • Participate in Pathway Planning for children transitioning into the team.
  • Collaborate with team and service managers to develop a supportive and progressive work environment.
