Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our Construction team, working with external partners and subcontractors while collaborating with our onsite Sales team. You will bring our values of Passionate, Collaborative and Respectful to be a proactive leader, positively influencing teams and ensuring the successful delivery of our high‑volume new‑build housing developments.

Main Responsibilities

You will reinforce directions from the Site and Contracts Manager, delivering the development safely and on schedule. Responsibilities include fostering a proactive culture, communicating across departments, leading by example, and ensuring the development is delivered safely and on time.

Key Tasks / Role Includes

• Ensure the safe running of the site, reinforcing Home Safe procedures and maintaining compliance.
• Support the management of onsite Construction and Customer Care responsibilities.
• Ensure effective compliance, control, and deployment of construction and customer care activities per company policies, managing defects post‑completion to deliver 5* customer satisfaction.
• Liaise with all stakeholders and suppliers, both internal and external.
• Maintain and establish relationships with local communities, engaging and working to further the Gleeson model.
• Use Zutec and Digital Plot Books.

Ideal Candidate

• CSCS card (minimum).
• NVQ Level 4 Construction Site Supervision or similar, pass or distinction.
• SMSTS card holder.
• First Aid at Work.
• Scaffold – CISRS.
• Good knowledge of construction methods and processes.
• Good awareness of codes of practice such as NHBC, Building Regulations.
• Experience within the housebuilding industry.
• Previous experience within an Assistant Site Manager or Site Supervisor role (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
