A leading international technology and engineering firm based in Plymouth is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to lead Digital & Technology projects in a hybrid work environment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-disciplinary teams, ensuring compliance, and managing project delivery from concept through operational handover. Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing Digital & Technology projects, ideally in infrastructure or defence sectors.
  • Strong record of leading projects from requirements gathering to operational use.
  • Familiarity with highly regulated environments and security assurance principles.

  • Act as an interface between Digital & Technology Delivery Support and project teams.
  • Drive project progression and delivery using digital tools and processes.
  • Lead approved projects through to operational handover.
  • Ensure compliance and traceability through effective documentation management.

Location: Devonport, Plymouth, GB, PL2 2BG

Full time / Permanent. Hybrid working arrangements: 1 day onsite, 4 days remote.

Salary: £43,935 + Benefits.

The role

Work closely with the Digital & Technology Lead and cross‑disciplinary teams to deliver projects from concept to operational handover.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Digital & Technology Lead in managing multiple projects from concept to go‑live.
  • Acting as an interface between Digital & Technology Delivery Support and project teams.
  • Driving project progression and delivery using digital tools and processes.
  • Leading approved projects through to operational handover.
  • Ensuring compliance and traceability through effective documentation management.
Essential experience
  • Proven experience managing Digital & Technology projects, ideally in infrastructure or defence sectors.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who can achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance.

Many positions require national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, citizenship, or residency.
