The Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be embedded within one of our key support programmes and be integral to achieving high-performance delivery of technical and inventory support to the UK Submarine Fleet. This is your chance to contribute to projects that protect national security while developing your career in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Managing scheduling, cost control, risk management, and procurement activities.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across multiple disciplines to drive project delivery.
  • Supporting manufacturing and delivery stages for submarine weapon systems.
  • Maintaining momentum across complex projects with tight deadlines.
  • Driving continuous improvement and adapting to change effectively.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.

Qualifications for the Assistant Project Manager
  • PFQ and/or PMQ qualification or equivalent (desirable)
  • Other formal project management qualifications will be considered
