Are you ready to support the delivery of Mechanical and Electrical (building services) solutions across a diverse and project portfolio? We're seeking a Building Services Manager to play a key role in our Midlands team. In this pivotal position, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring technical excellence and maximising commercial performance across all our projects.

Reporting to our Senior M&E Manager, key responsibilities:

  • Recommend and engage with high-quality subcontractors, overseeing their performance to ensure compliance, quality, and long-term value.
  • Balance technical solutions with commercial outcomes, ensuring our proposals are both innovative and cost-effective.
  • Promote M&E knowledge across the business through mentoring and technical guidance.
  • Support the identification and communication of project risks and long-term liabilities to internal stakeholders.
  • Lead M&E discussions during Project Launch, ensuring a clear strategy is in place for procurement, design, and installation.
  • Work alongside the construction team to embed M&E risks and opportunities into the project strategy.
  • Participate in subcontractor interviews and advise on best-fit commercial solutions.
  • Monitor M&E delivery at key construction stages, ensuring full compliance with quality and procedural standards.
  • Collaborate with Project and Contracts Managers to manage M&E commercial issues, including overseeing final accounts.
  • Provide regular updates and ensure project teams are aligned on commercial positioning.
  • Negotiate M&E consultant and subcontractor agreements to secure optimal value and risk management.
  • Drive timely procurement and ensure all project teams are informed of commercial opportunities and risks.
  • Empower site and project teams to fully understand M&E scopes and support their ongoing development.
  • Where line management is involved, nurture and develop staff to their full professional potential.
