A local educational organization is seeking an experienced Assistant Head Teacher to support the Headteacher at their unique school in Salisbury. The role involves leading initiatives to implement a trauma-informed approach and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will help communicate the school's vision and manage day-to-day operations, ensuring high standards in a supportive environment. This full-time role also offers ongoing training and development opportunities.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Head Teacher to support the Headteacher in leading our fantastic school based in the heart of Salisbury. The Spires is a small (registered for 45), unique school for children and young people aged 6 to 18 who have experienced Trauma or would benefit from a Trauma informed approach.
As Assistant Headteacher, you will support the head teacher in communicating the school's vision, strategic leadership, and day-to-day management. You will have key areas of whole school responsibility which will be negotiated further with the successful candidate.
You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and be part of developing a trauma responsive culture with high expectations at its core.
The Spires School is one of 8 Ofsted Registered schools Five Rivers run, so you will benefit from being part of a close knit network of Senior Leaders who regularly meet and collaborate. Five Rivers is a Social Enterprise that works with children who have experienced Trauma. In addition to our schools we have 10 Children’s homes, a Nationwide Fostering Service and a well established Assessment and Therapy Team.

Hours
This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours per week, and term time follows the local authority schedule
