Purpose of Role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to join our Defence business area. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering high‑quality facilities management services across our sites in Woolwich and Central London.

Job Description

As an Assistant Facilities Manager, you will support the Facilities Manager in implementing effective management strategies for the account. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence through planned and reactive maintenance regimes, health and safety compliance, and supplier management. This role requires strong coordination skills to align internal functions with customer and supplier requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and administer working processes for maintenance and health & safety.
  • Ensure CAFM systems are in place to manage planned and reactive works efficiently.
  • Work with Facilities Managers to develop resource plans and implement changes where needed.
  • Actively manage suppliers to deliver best value.
  • Support the Account Manager and Commercial teams with financial management and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to client budget requirements and mitigate financial risk.
  • Assist in developing quotes and business cases for additional works.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  • Proven experience as an Assistant Facilities Manager.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management processes and systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage suppliers and support financial processes.
