A healthcare organization in Reading is seeking an Assistant Clinical Respiratory Physiologist. You will assist in the provision of diagnostic assessment services for patients with lung diseases and develop skills in basic diagnostic procedures. The role includes an in-service training program leading to professional qualification and offers opportunities for advancement in a team-focused environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and develop to become an Assistant Respiratory Physiologist.
You will train to perform a range of respiratory function investigations under the supervision of the Respiratory Physiologists. You will also gain skills in performing basic diagnostic procedures and treatment provision in our sleep and ventilation service. Once in post, you will undertake an in-service training program and when ready to do so, will complete a professional qualification exam. For the right candidate, there is also the possibility for future study whilst in post.
This is a period of ever expanding service for the department and this is an opportunity for you to be involved in the continued development of a laboratory where scientific process, data quality and patient experience are at the core of the daily activities.
JOB SUMMARY
To assist in the provision of diagnostic assessment services in Respiratory Physiology and the therapeutic monitoring of patients with lung disease and/or sleep disordered breathing.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
