We are now recruiting for an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor at our after school club at Ashford Park Primary School in Ashford, Surrey (TW15).

This role is part time and runs during term time only. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The role

As After School Club Supervisor, you will have overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day operations and management of an after school club. You will supervise and direct a small team, ensuring the safe and organised running of the club, fully supported by your Regional Manager and a dedicated Operations Team at Head Office. Every afternoon you and your team will directly organise, deliver and participate in activities with the children in your care, ensuring all activities are delivered to KOOSA Kids and Ofsted standards at all times. You will provide a safe and secure environment for the children to explore, grow and have fun.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the day‑to‑day management of the After School Club as an After School Club Playwork Childcare Supervisor at our club at Ashford Park Primary School.
• Print off daily registers and manage safe and secure sign‑in / sign‑out process each day, communicating effectively with school staff and parents at all times.
• Develop a thorough understanding of KOOSA Kids programme of activity and deliver activities accordingly to children each afternoon, directing colleagues as appropriate.
• Maintain awareness of and sensitivity for any children with additional needs (physical, behavioural, dietary).
• Purchase healthy snacks for the After School Club.
• Actively develop a thorough understanding of relevant Ofsted standards and KOOSA Kids internal policies and procedures, including safeguarding, and communicate any concerns to the Safeguarding Officer in a timely fashion.
• Ensure the After School Club operates to Ofsted and KOOSA Kids policies and procedures at all times.
• Carry out daily risk assessments and complete all relevant operational paperwork.
• Ensure all activity areas are left clean and tidy at the end of each day, carrying out cleaning duties as necessary.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years managerial or supervisory experience in a childcare, early years or playwork setting.
• A Level 3 NVQ / Diploma in Childcare or Playwork (or equivalent) is beneficial but not essential.
• Experience working in a Primary School, Pre‑School or Nursery setting, e.g. a Teaching Assistant, Early Years Educator or Nursery Manager or Assistant.
• Reliable and passionate, with strong relational and engagement skills with children aged 4–11 years.
• Openness to gain qualifications and further growth & development, with opportunities for successful candidates.
• Full training provided.

Hours

Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm term‑time only.
