Art and DT Teacher (Part‑Time)

Smile Education is collaborating with a prominent secondary school in Walsall to welcome a talented part‑time Art and DT teacher starting in January. This school is open to part‑time and full‑time teachers. If you are ready to inspire young minds and make a positive impact in the classroom, we encourage you to get in touch. This role is suitable for ECTs.

As a part‑time Art and DT teacher, the role will consist of planning and delivering captivating lessons to students in line with the curriculum, adapting teaching methods to cater to diverse needs and abilities, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and critical thinking. You will assess and evaluate student progress, offer constructive feedback, and nurture a love for learning. You will work with a supportive staff body who are fun, dedicated, hardworking and professional, and who will help you reach your potential. The role is 3 days a week (Wednesday to Friday).

The Successful Candidate Must Have
  • A bachelor’s degree in education, Art/DT or a related field.
  • Teaching certification or QTS/Level 5 (ideal but not required).
  • Proficiency in the secondary curriculum and effective instructional techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and motivating students to excel.
