A leading engineering company in Wolverhampton is offering an Apprenticeship in Mechanical Design for Level 6. This role involves operating CAD using Catia version 5, creating manufacturing drawings, and liaising with customers for quality deliverables. The ideal candidate should have essential GCSE qualifications and strong communication skills. The apprenticeship will provide a detailed understanding of engineering projects alongside academic studies at Derby College, enabling personal and professional growth in a dynamic environment.
This is an opportunity to join a world-leading engineering company through a well-established 4 year (excluding End Point Assessment) Apprenticeship Development Programme. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive strong support, mentoring and coaching while developing against the Apprenticeship Standard.
The programme includes placements across multiple departments to build a broad understanding of the business. Placements are planned to support your development and provide a varied, rewarding experience.
Over the course of the program, you will combine academic college studies with real life work-based experience across our organisation. You will be involved in varied engineering projects including covering aspects of design, technical problem solving, maintenance planning, and product reliability growth. You will have the opportunity to build and gather evidence of your competence whilst working towards a formal qualification.

Your qualification will be completed at Derby College – training will be delivered by day/block release.
