A leading apprenticeship training provider in England is offering an apprenticeship for Service Technicians. The role involves training in inspections, repairs, and maintenance of cranes, alongside achieving recognized qualifications. Candidates must be physically fit and willing to travel for training and work assignments. Apprentices will gain hands-on experience, starting at a local college and continuing in the field. This is a dynamic opportunity in a rewarding industry with career growth potential.
On completion of the training and subject to consideration of ability, aptitude and successful apprenticeship results it is expected that you will qualify as a Service Technician. Once qualified as a Service Technician you will be responsible for providing a variety of inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
Working as part of a team your will assist in the repair, maintenance and practice service of our customers cranes. The successful applicant will need to able to work at heights as this is a natural part of the servicing and must also be the type of person willing to work within a team.

Health and Safety plays a key role in our industry, and we expect all of our apprentices to achieve the utmost attention to detail in this area.
Working in this industry is very rewarding although it is at times very intense and demanding of the individual.
Willingness to stay and travel away from home on a regular basis; this includes being away for blocks of 1 week at our training in our UK Training Centre in Banbury. Willingness to work in other UK districts for periods of time (hotel and food subsistence paid for). You must live local/within commuting distance of the branch location.
In your first year you will attend a local college for off-the-job training, you’ll also attend your local branch during holidays to help gain further understanding of our business and the nature of the work carried out.
In your 2nd and 3rd year you’ll gain on-the-job training in the field.
The relevant engineering including electrical theories and principles relative to the role of a Service Technician.
