Shifts: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays, short & long days

We have an exciting opportunity for an Anaesthetic Theatre Practitioner to join our outstanding Theatre Team at The Harborne Hospital. Whether you’re a Theatre Nurse (NMC) or an Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC), if you’re passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in anaesthetics, we’d love to hear from you.

About The Harborne Hospital

Part of HCA Healthcare UK, The Harborne Hospital is a brand-new £100 million, purpose‑built, 50‑bed multi‑speciality private hospital that opened in January 2024. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, we offer world‑class facilities, deep clinical infrastructure, and expert teams delivering full clinical pathways across specialties including Cardiology, Cancer, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Gynaecology, Urology, ENT, Spinal and Complex Surgery. With 4 state‑of‑the‑art operating theatres (including 1 Hybrid Theatre), you’ll be working in an environment designed for excellence.

What you’ll do
  • Provide skilled anaesthetic support across a variety of surgical specialties
  • Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre colleagues to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care in theatre
  • Be part of a collaborative, supportive team culture that values your wellbeing and professional growth
What you’ll bring
  • Qualified Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse
  • Current HCPC or NMC registration
  • Post‑graduate experience in theatres with anaesthetic skills
  • Completion of an anaesthetics course (or equivalent experience)
