Overview

Be an experienced speech and language therapist working with an adult voice and dysphagia caseload who would like to take the next step in your career and lead our voice service within our forward‑thinking and friendly community Speech and Language Therapy Service.

We are looking for a therapist with excellent communication skills who would like to further progress their knowledge with a voice and dysphagia caseload.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the voice service within the Speech and Language Therapy Service
  • Provide therapy to adult patients with voice and dysphagia issues across community settings including inpatient units, stroke services, clinics, domiciliary visits, and videofluoroscopy clinic
  • Support the wider service dysphagia caseload and collaborate with local hospital trust
  • Provide supervision and support to junior staff and students in the specialist area
  • Participate in staff development, CPD, and external specialist clinical supervision
  • Use information technology to enable flexible and mobile working
Requirements
  • Experience as a speech and language therapist with adult voice and dysphagia caseload
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to lead and mentor within the team
  • Ability to work across diverse community settings
  • Qualified to work in the UK healthcare system (registration, etc.)
