Job summary

A local educational provider in the United Kingdom is seeking an Adult Literacies and Learning Officer to design and deliver community-based Adult Learning activities, including literacies and digital literacy. The role entails flexible working and requires a degree-level qualification in community education or significant relevant experience. Candidates must be willing to work evenings and some weekends, and membership of the PVG Scheme is necessary for this position.

Based at Arbroath Academy CL & DW, School House, Glenisla Drive, Arbroath

Responsibilities and Qualifications

As an Adult Literacies and Learning Officer you will work with colleagues, communities and learners to design, deliver and assess community-based Adult Learning activities; this may include literacies, digital literacy and family learning.

Based at Arbroath Academy Community Wing, you will be expected to work across various work projects within any location in Angus to meet the operational needs of the service. Some home and online working will be included as necessary in line with Angus Council policy.

A degree level qualification in community education, community learning and development, community planning and/or considerable relevant experience is essential for this post.

This post is for 18.12 hours per week and is permanent. The post will involve regular evening and occasional weekend working.
