Join our Team as a Control Systems Engineer

Location: Actemium Automation Nottingham - Main office (Ilkeston)

Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/ week)

Salary: £40k - £50k (experience dependent)

What You'll Do

You'll play a key role in delivering cutting‑edge control and automation solutions for a wide range of industrial clients. From concept through to commissioning, you'll be involved every step of the way.

Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Working with senior engineers to develop robust, efficient control systems
  • Designing and testing systems based on client specs and industry standards
  • Supporting project planning, executing, and commissioning
  • Building strong relationships with clients, including on‑site work
What you bring
  • A degree in Instrument & Control engineering (or relevant field) or a strong automation engineering background
  • Proficiency in PLC/DCS programming, and HMI/SCADA development
  • A solid grasp of control system design principles and documentation
  • Strong understanding of technical project life cycle
  • Familiarity with industrial software and control systems
  • A methodical, structured approach with great time management
  • A collaborative mindset and confident working directly with customers
