Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
  • Currently studying towards ACCA (or equivalent).
  • Able to independently prepare accounts and tax returns to a review-ready standard.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience liaising directly with clients.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Excel and cloud-based accounting software such as Xero.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns for a variety of clients.
  • Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies to draft stage for review.
  • Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns to a review-ready standard.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete work to a high standard within agreed timeframes.
  • Liaise with clients to obtain required financial information and documentation.
  • Handle company secretarial duties, including filings and statutory records.
  • Act as a professional and reliable point of contact for clients, responding to queries.
  • Support Directors and senior team members with ad hoc accounting and compliance tasks.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay up to date with technical knowledge through CPD and training.

We’re looking for a motivated Accounts Semi‑Senior to join our Brierley Hill office. In this role, you’ll support our Directors and Portfolio Managers by delivering high‑quality services to a range of SME clients.   • Assist with the preparation of accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns for a variety of clients.

  • Maintain accurate records and complete work to a high standard within agreed timeframes.

  • Support Directors and senior team members with ad hoc accounting and compliance tasks.
