Job description
Our Mission

We’re not your average benefits platform – we’re the driving force that uplifts people’s lives. Our technology connects the entire benefits ecosystem, creating better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers.

Our mission is clear: to build a world where everything works at its best, ensuring every employee gets the support they need to thrive—both at work and beyond.

Your Mission

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and proactive Accounts Associate to join our growing finance team. This is a crucial, hands‑on role responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions on a day‑to‑day basis, whilst also providing essential support for our monthly reporting cycle.

This is a very exciting time to join the business, as it embarks on its next stage of growth, having recently secured its latest funding round. This role has great opportunity to grow and develop in your career, and to shape how Finance operates at a scaling Tech company. If you are organised, comfortable with accounting software like Xero, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment, we would love to hear from you!

What you’ll be doing...
  • Supplier Invoice Processing: Manage the dedicated accounts inbox, ensuring all supplier invoices are correctly processed in Xero, including accurate coding to the general ledger and correct VAT treatment.
  • Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular bank reconciliations for all company accounts, aiming for at least weekly completion to ensure data integrity and real‑time financial visibility.
  • Sales Invoice Drafting: Draft monthly sales invoices based on data extracted from our sales tool Hubspot and active user reports, ensuring billing accuracy.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: ensure customers are paying invoices within agreed payment terms, and proactively manage this where these aren’t being met.
  • In‑House Payroll: Assist with the management of our monthly in‑house payroll process, including processing monthly changes (e.g. joiners/leavers/salary changes/bonuses) and responding to any queries raised during the review process.
  • Reimbursement Processing: Manage and process employee and customer expense claims and reimbursements on a weekly basis.
  • Month‑End Preparation: Ensure all financial transactions (invoices, etc.) have been processed and recorded correctly in the relevant accounting period.
  • Monthly Journals: Assist with the preparation and posting of key month‑end journals, focusing on areas such as prepayments, deferred income, and accruals.
You’ll thrive here if you have...
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable, Accounts Assistant, or similar role.
  • Or a relevant degree (e.g. Accounting & Finance) at University or through an Apprenticeship.
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero or similar cloud‑based accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, including double‑entry bookkeeping and VAT treatment.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
You will not love this role if you….
  • Need a slow pace to feel comfortable – we move fast, and we prioritise action, even when the path isn’t perfectly clear.
  • Are uncomfortable being accountable for outcomes – this role involves owning projects end‑to‑end and being responsible for making them succeed and delivering them at a high quality.
  • Prefer maintaining the status quo – we want to challenge assumptions and push for better ways of working.
  • Prefer a highly structured environment with established processes and clearly defined boundaries – we’re still building, and sometimes that means creating the path as we go.
  • Struggle with ambiguity or expect prescriptive direction – you’ll get support and context, but you’ll need to figure things out and take ownership.
  • Wait for others to step up, or to be told what to do – We are a high‑performance and high‑reward work place and are looking for people who are proactive.
Our Compensation & Benefits

It’s important to us to practise what we preach when it comes to our benefits. We know what good looks like and we want to provide the best for our team, with a comprehensive and inclusive benefits package. This means you have a choice over the things that are most important to you. You can see a selection below, along with the full offering here.
