We operate a digital advertising network encompassing the most influential politics and current affairs websites in the UK alongside a full-service media agency for political and policy advertisers. We provide specialist political media services and consultancy to our clients. We help them to design and execute multimedia advertising campaigns that reach political insiders and influence the national conversation ahead of mainstream and social media. We create real impact for our clients in the political market, targeting only the most impactful media to cut-through and deliver meaningful changes in attitude and action. The MessageSpace mission is to provide access to market-leading planning, technologies and consultancy usually reserved for mass market consumer campaigns to specialist political and policy advertisers.

  • Proficiency in digital advertising technologies including SSPs, DSPs, and Ad Exchanges.
  • Working knowledge of programmatic buying techniques.
  • 1-2 years’ experience of working in digital media, either in-house or agency side.
  • An understanding of the UK digital media landscape as it relates to politics, policy and public affairs advertisers would be beneficial.
  • Within six months the candidate will be expected to:
    • Become the go-to point of contact for questions relating to programmatic advertising at the agency.
    • Have a developed understanding of the politics, policy and public affairs programmatic advertising landscape.
    • Be comfortable pitching and presenting to clients, and begin to develop new business opportunities for the agency.
    • Have developed close familiarity with internal business systems and management.
Job Responsibilities

The role will have a strong focus on digital media and programmatic business operations, working with the Senior Account Manager in the daily servicing of client accounts, alongside conducting daily business operations and administration. We foresee the Account Executive taking on responsibility for direct client engagement and new business sales in addition to their account handling duties, offering the opportunity to earn significant commissions.

The successful candidate will handle digital AdOps for a range of MessageSpace clients in the political, policy and public affairs space. They will engage with existing and new clients from day one, gaining exposure to business negotiations and pitching via email, telephone, virtual and in-person meetings.

MessageSpace is a small but growing business. A desire to work independently in a free-form, start-up environment is essential.
