We are on the lookout for a dedicated professional to collaborate with our BHNFT digital team, ensuring the successful further implementation of the Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA) system across our Trust.

The BHNFT digital team has achieved remarkable success, having implemented the CMM EPMA system across 95% of our bed capacity. This includes the management of fluids, complex drug infusions, continuous infusions, a multitude of clinical protocols, and System C (CMM EPMA and PSC).

As Barnsley Hospital embarks on full digital transformation, we are expanding our EPMA team to meet the growing demand for EPMA demand to ensure safe business as usual and implementation of ICCA EPMA.

Pharmacy Responsibilities-

To complete the necessary pharmacy duties to maintain registration competencies.

To maintain own CPD as required by the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

To attend appropriate training courses for technicians, to encourage other staff to undertake further training, and to participate in such training schemes as necessary to keep relevant pharmaceutical clinical and technical knowledge up to date.

To act as a role model for student technicians, MTO 1 technicians and other members of technical and support staff.

To participate in Weekend, Bank Holiday and late-night duties.

To undertake any other related duties, which may be required.

Qualifications
  • Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council

  • Extended role checking technician (or fulfills the criteria to undertake training)
  • Educated to diploma level in an IT related subject or equivalent experience.
