Job summary
A leading telecommunications company in Scotland seeks Poling Operatives to build and maintain the Openreach Network. Responsibilities include installing and dressing poles, renewing drop-wires, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Ideal candidates will have experience in Pole Erection Units, possess a full UK license (preferably HGV Class 2), and hold NRSWA qualifications. The role demands a self-motivated attitude and the ability to remain calm under pressure while adhering to Health and Safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience with HIAB operations required.
- Ability to stay calm in pressured situations is essential.
- Full NRSWA Street-works qualifications including Cat Genny training needed.
- Full UK license required, ideally HGV Class 2.
Responsibilities
- Install and remove poles, including dressing new poles.
- Replace and renew existing drop-wires.
- Ensure works comply with Service Level Agreements.
- Undertake works per Health and Safety legislation.
