Job description
United Autosports – Operations & Technical Support

Full-time, on-site

Are you the go‑to person for solving complex IT challenges? The one who not only fixes problems but builds systems that prevent them in the first place? United Autosports is looking for a highly capable IT Technician who can own our full office and workshop IT infrastructure.

This is not a junior support desk role. It is a hands‑on, broad‑spectrum IT position responsible for keeping a high‑performance motorsport organisation running smoothly — from daily colleague support to cybersecurity, infrastructure and system reliability.

About the Role

You’ll be responsible for the technical systems that underpin our business, from laptops and networks to servers, Wi‑Fi, telephony, AV, backups and digital security. You’ll support colleagues across all departments and ensure that our systems are stable, secure and fit for purpose.

Expect variety: one minute you’re fixing a software issue, the next you’re troubleshooting network performance, installing secure infrastructure, or supporting the team with remote event connectivity.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Providing first‑class IT support across the business — hardware, software, connectivity, access.
  • Maintaining and improving all network and server infrastructure.
  • Managing user permissions, onboarding, off‑boarding, licences and systems access.
  • Overseeing cybersecurity measures, threat monitoring, antivirus, MFA, patching and security standards.
  • Maintaining backup systems, disaster recovery readiness and business continuity processes.
  • Managing procurement, asset tracking, lifecycle management and secure equipment disposal.
  • Supporting AV, meeting room setups, printers, remote systems and event‑specific IT requirements.
  • Being the stabilising force when technical issues impact operations — solving them quickly and cleanly.
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong, proven experience in IT support and infrastructure — not a junior learning‑on‑the‑job.
  • Confident with Windows environments, Office 365, networking, hardware and endpoint management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and IT best practice.
  • Organised, methodical and able to prioritise under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to help non‑technical colleagues with patience and clarity.
  • Someone who enjoys both problem‑solving and building systems that prevent those problems.

If you’re technically brilliant, practical, calm, and want an IT role with real impact — this is where you belong.
