We are recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Solutions team supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Operations with their nuclear fleet in the UK. This is a key role within our project and engineering portfolio which is spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced quality engineering management professionals within the business and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your management and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.

Sizewell B began construction in 1988 and since 1995 has generated 250 TWh of zero‑carbon electricity, which is the equivalent of enough to power every home in Suffolk for 192 years, or like taking 42 million cars off UK roads for a year. You will be part of a large client‑led team at EDF’s Sizewell B location and will be accountable to the client Project Manager, Programme Manager and/or Construction Manager.

• Provide positive leadership on quality matters within portfolios and project delivery teams and promote the adoption and culture of best practice, that delivers positive commitment to quality and engages all employees in continuous improvement.
• Have experience of working in a Project Delivery environment and have a demonstratable ability to provide direction and guidance on Quality arrangements within Project Teams.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality management system and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements.
• Be accountable to the client PPM or equivalent Group Head, with functional responsibilities to the client Quality Lead. This role has no direct reports.
• Have a proven track record of working within highly regulated environments with high safety standards and culture.

• HNC in a Technical Discipline or equivalent.
• Recognised BS EN ISO9001 Internal Auditor Training completed.
• Preferable – BS EN ISO 9001 Lead Auditor with IRCA Lead Auditor registration.
• Demonstrated proficiency in auditing and surveillance of client and contractor activities.
• Awareness of the Site Licence requirements on quality assurance and arrangements required to ensure compliance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Quality Management standards and guidelines, including the current versions of BS EN ISO09001.
• Working knowledge of the current versions of IAEA GC‑R‑3, BS EN ISO14001 & BS EN ISO 45001.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Quality Management practices, methods, and processes, including experience within Projects Quality.
