A healthcare trust in Gateshead is looking for a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to assist patients in reducing fall risks through strength and balance training. Ideal candidates will have an NVQ Level 3 in Social Care and experience in therapy settings. This role includes managing a caseload and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car. This position offers comprehensive training and support from physiotherapists.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within the Therapy Falls Prevention Team. The successful candidate will support patients who are at risk of falling (or who have already fallen) to help reduce their risk by improving strength, balance and confidence through specialised individual and group interventions.
You will be fully supported by physiotherapists (and the wider multi-disciplinary team), working within a competency framework and will be given all necessary clinical training for the job. You will manage your own workload and participate in team and service development.
You should have experience of working in rehabilitation, be enthusiastic and keen to work with the therapy team to provide an excellent service. You will need to have good communication and organisation skills, be a flexible team worker and able to use your own initiative.
This post includes working across community sites, so the post holder will be required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car for work purposes.
