The role sits within the Backup & Recovery Lab - a team responsible for delivering key data safeguarding capabilities, aimed at maturing the bank's operational resiliency posture and regulatory compliance position.**Job Description****JOB TITLE:** Senior Business & Data Analyst – Infrastructure Backup & Recovery **SALARY:** £70,929 - £78,810 per annum **LOCATIONS:** Leeds or Manchester **HOURS:** Full-time **WORKING PATTERN:** Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sitesWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Business & Data Analyst to join our Backup and Recovery Team to deliver technically complex projects.**About this opportunity** The Core Infrastructure Platform Team act as the engine room that forms the infrastructure foundation of Lloyds Banking Group. They deliver complex solutions that supports all aspects of the Bank and the services it provides to more than 27 million customers.Within the Core Infrastructure Platform, the Backup & Recovery Lab Team are responsible for delivering a new strategic backup capability to enhance its safeguarding capabilities, aimed at maturing the bank's operational resiliency posture and regulatory compliance position.Within the context of the Backup & Recovery Lab, there is an expectation that the Senior Business & Data Analyst will be involved in shaping the approach to transitioning assets from using legacy backup tools to a new strategic toolset whilst meeting customer (internal application owning teams) expectations.We're looking for a Senior Business & Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in complex product and process development. This is an opportunity to work closely with Product Owners, a new Private Cloud team, and cross-functional colleagues. Together, you will understand, measure, and orchestrate customer journeys. The Senior Business & Data Analyst ensures that customer needs remain central to all journeys, driving continuous improvement and effective integration across business functions, technology, and data.**Day to day, you will** Journey Understanding & Mapping* Independently understand, design, and map end-to-end customer journeys (internal and external), integrating insights from data, processes, and systems.* Lead on customer journey and process mapping (e.g., using Visio or similar tools).* Interpret complex detail and data, incorporating them into migration, cutover approaches, and customer treatment strategies.Continuous Improvement & Optimisation* Continually evaluate journey effectiveness from both customer and business perspectives.* Display a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and implementing enhancements to customer journeys and business processes.* Promote customer-centricity and positive values within the team.* Consider opportunities to optimise or automate backup tool migration processes.Orchestration & Cross-Functional Alignment* Coordinate and build alignment across teams and functions to ensure seamless customer experiences.* Work closely with integrators, product owners, and third-party suppliers to manage complex dependencies, planning, and delivery.* Facilitate resolution of conflicting views and manage complex stakeholder relationships.* Ensure the complex landscape in which the Backup & Recovery Lab operates is reflected in the analysis and engagement activity that is performed.Data & Technology Focus* Demonstrate complex data analytical capability, understanding the role of data in customer journeys and migrations.* Use data tools (e.g., Excel; SQL desirable) to implement controls and ensure safe, accountable data use.* Support technology and process integration, especially in complex migration or transformation contexts (e.g., finance, payments, digital assets).* Exhibit capability to manage large, complex datasets to drive informed decision making.Stakeholder Management & Communication* Develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, communicating plans and progress clearly.* Translate complex customer requirements into actionable product deliverables.* Influence without authority, working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.* Produce simple, consumable outputs (e.g. via complex datasets) that drive clear outcomes and can stand-up to close scrutiny.**Why Lloyds Banking Group** Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Join us on our journey and you will too!**What you’ll need: Essential*** Demonstrable experience handing technical complexities around migration, replacing legacy platforms, and cutover of backup solutions.* Prior experience implementing operating model migration and data clean up.* Experience in customer journey design, process mapping, business and data analysis techniques.* Proficiency in agile delivery tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).* Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing priorities and driving outcomes.* Experience operating within robust control environments, aligning with risk and governance frameworks.* Passion for delivering customer-centric solutions and improving customer outcomes.* Exposure to operational resiliency, backup, vaulting or other data safeguarding topics.**Desirable*** Familiarity with financial services products, payments, digital assets, or emerging technologies.* Previous experience working within financial services or within a heavily regulated environment.**And any experience of these would be really useful:*** Prior experience in implementing a new backup platform and migration/cutover of applications to a target platform* Interacting and working closely with LBG’s offshore team.**About working for us** Our focus is to ensure we're inclusive every day, building an organisation that reflects modern society and celebrates diversity in all its forms.
