Job summary
A leading crypto company is seeking an experienced engineer to design and develop applications using TypeScript. This fully remote position requires over 7 years of engineering experience, focusing on backend services and blockchain technology. Candidates should have a strong understanding of GraphQL and RESTful APIs, and be committed to delivering high-quality applications. Qualifications
- 7+ years of full-time engineering experience within a large tech organization or fast-growing startup.
- 7+ years of experience building backend services with Node.js and Typescript.
- Experience working with GraphQL, SQL, RESTful APIs, and WebSockets.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality applications using TypeScript.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and team members to deliver features end-to-end.
- Write clean, maintainable code with a strong emphasis on type safety and performance.

Join a small, talented team of engineers building high-quality enhancements and bringing new utility to Kraken. In this role, you’ll take significant ownership of technical decisions, collaborate closely with product, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver exciting new opportunities.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality applications using TypeScript
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and team members to deliver features end-to-end
- Write clean, maintainable code with a strong emphasis on type safety and performance
- Review code, provide constructive feedback, and uphold engineering best practices
Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues - Contribute to architecture decisions and technical roadmaps
- 7+ years of full-time engineering experience within a large technology organization or fast growing startup
- 7+ years of experience building backend services with Node.js, Typescript
- Experience working with GraphQL, SQL, RESTful APIs and WebSockets
- Experience working with blockchain technology and DeFi Solid programming)
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively
- Understanding user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments
