We are partnering with a well‑established and highly regarded accountancy practice in Harrogate to recruit a proactive and client‑focused Accountant. - Preparation of year‑end accounts for a diverse range of clients (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies).
- Production of corporation tax and personal tax returns.
- Managing and maintaining client relationships, acting as a first point of contact for queries.
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting queries (primarily Xero).
- Working collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and practice procedures.
- Contributing to workflow improvements and supporting the ongoing growth of the practice.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero.
- Demonstrable experience producing year‑end accounts and tax returns.
- Excellent communication skills and confidence in a client‑facing role.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently within a small team.
- Experience using IRIS accountancy software.
- AAT‑qualified, part‑qualified ACCA/ACA, or qualified by experience.
- Knowledge of other cloud accounting platforms.
